Oliver from Ni No Kuni

I been playing this game on PS3 name Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. I was on the fence about buying this game, but after watching this youtube video of Steve Zaragoza reviewing the game. I was SOLD! So for the past couple days if I'm not playing the game and grinding to level up in the game, I am drawing the character. So far I only finish Oliver, not sure if I want to to draw Esther and Swaine. I'll just have to see if I will be up for it or not.

Music bud i3000

Since my collaboration with Ryan Hall I been meaning to do another collaboration. This time I got a chance to work with a very good friend and an amazing artist Amy Liu. She designed the character and once again I did the lineart and rendering.

The cold @_@

Ahhh it's mid January, I thought I would done more artwork by now, but I been a TOTAL MESS! The flu got to me for the past couple days and I been feel really crappy so I have not done too much drawing as much as I wanted to...it's not having the flu MWAHAHAHAHA. Anyway, the time I'm not feeling lazy or light headed, I was able to develop some new characters and been playing with shapes and expression.

This is one of the character I develop, the pose it not too different from what I have done before, I'm little disappointed in that, but I just wanted to develop a full body design for her first before I start playing a little be more with her design. I'm thinking she's like a traditional dancer. There is a male ver/sibling of this character. I designed him and I didn't like how it was...and I been watching alot of Kung Fu movies so don't be surprise if the male character is in a martial art pose.

For warm-up today, I drawn some male's heads.

Hello 2013!

I am very excited for 2013! I want to see what is going to be unfold or what different chapter I will enter in my art career! I was fortunate enough last year to get a job at EA/Maxis as an contract concept artist, attended CTN with some good buddies and met so much amusing and inspiring artists. 2012 was quite a profound year for me in the art department and I hope 2013 will be greater as I push myself harder to improve my art style, take risks, learn more techniques, and be influence by other artists.  After all I am still a very hungry artist! So let's cheer for 2013!

Happy Birthday, Nanako

Nana-chan turns four this weekend and so for one of her gift I decided to draw her as a cartoony characters.

Beside the drawing, I also pick up quilling so I made Nana a little flower and placed it in the shadow box along with her drawing. (I was watching a show on the computer so sorry for the reflection, High five if you can guess the show XP)

Aoi Dai 2

I recently visited a cousin of mine and in her room I came across a wooden frame of a silhouette what's seem to be a Vietnamese lady in a traditional "Ao Dai" (long dress) holding on to a straw hat. I was fascinated with silhouette so I took a photo of it. When I got home, I decided to fill in the silhouette with my own design. I can't take full credit for the drawing style because I was inspired by Danni Shinya Luo. This is a sketch, I will work on the lineart in near future.
